We are very pleased that we have been granted permission to use an indigenous title for our Year One blog. The words 'Monomeeth Ganbu-Buluk' (pronounced 'mon-o-met gan-boo - bull-ook) means 'Good Little Ones' which is of course exactly what your beautiful children are!

Moving into Week 4
The students have had yet another jam-packed week! They've been working extremely hard inventing and designing their amazing future forms of transport as part of our 'Going Places' summative assessment task. These will be on display at the end of next week outside our classrooms. There will be no Share and Share during the next two weeks, as the students will be presenting their future modes of transport to the class.
Next Friday 8th May is the Mother's Day Celebration Service. It will start promptly at 9am in the Sustainability Centre. The service will finish at approximately 9.40am. There will then be light refreshments served outside the Year 1 classrooms for those mothers and special friends who are able to stay a little longer.
If you haven't already, please return your slip for the Mother's Day Service as soon as possible.

Please note that during Terms 2 and 3 all students are required to wear their blazer to and from school, as the outer garment of their Winter uniform. ‘To and from school’ means they must wear their blazer on arrival to their classroom each morning and on leaving their classroom each afternoon. When wearing their Sports uniform to school, tracksuit pants and sports jacket must be worn as the outer garments. Students may wear their sports shorts under their tracksuit pants if they wish to change throughout the day.
We still require some more small, clean glass jars for a special project. Please add these to the box outside your child's classroom.
Have a wonderful weekend!
